What is the IRS AFSP?

The Annual Filing Season Program aims to recognize the efforts of non-credentialed return preparers who aspire to a higher level of professionalism. Those who choose to participate can meet the requirements by obtaining 18 hours of continuing education, including a six hour federal tax law refresher course with test. c

Will my CE Hours count towards the IRS AFSP?

Yes, all conference attendees will earn 16 CE hours towards AFSP including the required 6hr Annual Tax Refresher course.

How will I receive my CE Hours?

CE hours will be electronically reported to your PTIN. You may check your completed CE Hours by logging into your IRS E Services Account.

How will i receive my digital download and CPE Hours

Digital Downloads and CE Hours will be available on October 12,2022.

Will I need additional hours aside from the conference to qualify for AFSP?

Yes, 18CE hours are required for AFSP. An additional 2 CE Hours will of Federal Tax Law Topics will be needed. Which you may obtain for and additional $15.00-avalaible for purchase on site at the Conference.

If I do not have a PTIN can I still attend?

Yes, but a PTIN must be obtained in order to receive credit for CE Hours. PTIN setup assistance will be available at the conference.

I am a Service Bureau/Software Reseller can I attend the conference?

Service Bureaus and Software Reseller are welcome to attend as Vendors.  Limited vendor spaces are available. All SB and Software Resellers will be vetted.

Do I have to stay onsite?

  

Staying on site is highly recommended. All Conference Activities are onsite or within the vicinity Alternative hotel options are within the area and Free parking is available. 


Is the conference kid or pet friendly?

  

Tax Talks II is ideal for Adults, the Hotel and Conference Center does not provide accommodations for pets?

Can I bring a guest?

  

Absolutely! Bring a Companion, Friend or Significant Other to enjoy the post conference activities including Daily Buffet Style Lunch, Cocktail Mixer, Bowling, and Awards Dinner.  Have a special occasion coming up soon? Celebrate in the city, choose from a plethora of fine dining and entertainment options located within walking distance of the conference vicinity. Companion tickets must be purchased for all guest.

What is the dress code?

  

Conference dress code is business casual.

We encourage Tax Groups to wear the Company Swag!
